Sourires d'hiver — How do you invite Montrealers of all ages to celebrate their nordicity? By creating the winter counterpart to Jardins Gamelin: Glissades Gamelin, a joyful urban sliding station nestled in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles. The challenge: to craft a graphic signature that is welcoming, vibrant, and playful.

Snowboards slide their way into the project, first as a background texture running through the various pieces to create rhythm, then layered over the Quartier des Spectacles' emblematic circular form, bringing to life a family of colourful, funny characters ready to smile at winter.

It was essential to develop a platform that would nod to those of Jardins Gamelin and the Partenariat du Quartier des Spectacles. We therefore drew on their codes and graphic elements, the soft-edged circle for instance, to give rise to a unique identity while maintaining visual coherence, summer and winter alike.
